Tent of Dreams
Overview
Thousands of Syrian refugee children in Lebanon have grown up without access to formal education. Born into displacement and living without legal status, many are denied schooling, healthcare, and basic public services. In Akkar, one of the most vulnerable regions, education remains out of reach for many children due to poverty, distance, and the pressure to work.
Tent of Dreams is Salam Charity’s non-formal education project in Akkar, Lebanon, designed to give refugee children a safe space to learn, grow, and rebuild hope. Through structured learning led by qualified teachers, the project helps children regain lost years of education and prepares them to re-enter formal schooling when opportunities arise.
