Our Ethical Qurbani Standards
We follow strict guidelines to ensure every sacrifice is performed responsibly and in accordance with Islamic principles:
- Cows are over 2 years old
- Goats and sheep are at least 1 year old
- Animals are healthy and free from defects
- Welfare conditions are monitored for at least 6 months
- Mothers are not separated from offspring
- Animals are raised with proper feeding and space
- Slaughter is performed quickly and humanely
- Animals are kept separate from slaughter areas to reduce distress
- Meat is distributed quickly to maintain freshness
- Distribution prioritizes families living below the international poverty line
Understanding Qurbani Shares
- A goat or sheep counts as one full Qurbani
- A cow equals seven shares
- You may donate one share or multiple shares
- Shares may be given on behalf of yourself or loved one
